Scotland Dealt Blow After Injury Fears Confirmed

Scotland have been dealt a blow with the confirmation that flanker Ryan Wilson has been ruled out of the rest of the Six Nations.

Wilson was injured in Scotland’s defeat to Ireland on Saturday and the Scottish Rugby Union said on Monday that the forward had suffered knee ligament damage.

The Glasgow Warriors star was forced off at half-time in the 22-13 loss at Murrayfield as Gregor Townsend’s side suffered a major setback to their title aspirations.

Centre Huw Jones and fullback Stuart Hogg suffered knee and shoulder ligament injuries respectively in the same game, the SRU added, but both remain part of the squad and will be assessed by a specialist this week.

Scotland next play against France in Paris on Saturday, February 23 and then face Wales at home and England away in their final two Six Nations fixtures.
