Hogg – Scots Sweating Over Fitness

Hogg – Scotland are facing an anxious wait over the fitness of Stuart Hogg after he came off in Saturday’s Six Nations loss to Ireland. Full-back Hogg was forced off in the 22-13 defeat at Murrayfield with a shoulder injury and he is now a doubt for Scotland’s trip to France on February 23, where they last triumphed in 1999.
The Scots are still in contention for the Six Nations title, having beaten Italy in their opener, but they can’t afford any more slip-ups if they are going to lift the trophy for the first time.

Speaking about Hogg and the upcoming clash in Paris, head coach Gregor Townsend was quoted as saying by rugby365.co.uk: “He’s very sore. He wanted to stay on but his shoulder was not right. We’ll see what will happen over the next couple of days. “It’s going to be a huge challenge in Paris. We haven’t won there for 20 years, but I believe in our squad. I believe that the way we play will put pressure on any team, whether we’re playing at home or away.”
