Sevilla Fear Sarabia Exit

Sevilla are reportedly worried about losing Pablo Sarabia this summer ahead of him entering the final 12 months of his current contract.

The former Spain under-21 international has excelled at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this season, scoring 19 goals and providing 12 assists across all competitions, and his impressive displays are believed to have caught the attention of a number of top clubs.

Chelsea have been previously linked with the 26-year-old, although their transfer ban means a move to Stamford Bridge is seemingly no longer on the cards.

Sevilla are keen to keep hold of Sarabia despite the interest from elsewhere, with Monchi, who recently returned to the club as sporting director, making extending the former Getafe player’s contract a top priority.

Sarabia’s current deal expires in the summer of 2020 and he is also believed to have an €18million release clause built into his existing deal.

Sevilla certainly fear losing the attacking midfielder on the cheap, although they may be forced to cash in if he opts against putting pen to paper on a new deal.
