The Spanish Football Association says it has received Solari’s contract from the La Liga club, with some reports saying it will run until the end of the season for now.
It could tie in with the fact that one of Real’s top targets, former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, has said he will not consider taking another job until the end of the season.
Even so, there is no hiding the fact that Solari has done a fine job so far and would get the permanent position on merit alone.
Since replacing the sacked Julen Lopetegui, the 42-year-old has led Real to four wins in four games, the best start of any manager in the club’s history.
Solari’s wins in his spell in charge have been against Melilla in the Copa del Rey, Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League, and Real Valladolid and Celta Vigo in La Liga.
