Siewert Demands Town Fight

Huddersfield boss Jan Siewert has told his Town players they are still playing for their futures as they prepare to face Manchester United.

The Terriers have lost 10 out of their last 11 matches, and their last three at home but Siewert believes they can get a result against United at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The Huddersfield boss wants his players to start turning their fortunes around now, as they prepare for next season in the Championship. “We have to be brave against Manchester United,” Siewert said, adding that Jurgen Klopp complimented Huddersfield for their bravery in last Friday’s 5-0 defeat at Anfield. “I want to see bravery.

We have to start now, not next year.” With United still in the fight for fourth place and a spot in the Champions League, Siewert insisted already-relegated Huddersfield also have an interest in the game. “Maybe players are playing at home for the last time,” he added. “They want to give an impression to leave in supporters’ minds if they do leave and there are others who are fighting for their future and want to give an impression for me. “We have three different scenarios.

Ones who will leave, ones who are fighting for their future and ones who know they are in my plans. “Those are three important reasons to fight for this club.”
