Snodgrass Keen To Play His Part

Robert Snodgrass is hoping to keep up his form in the coming months to help West Ham continue their revival and stay out of trouble. The 31-year-old is now a fixture in the Hammers first team after spending last season on loan at Championship club Aston Villa and has contributed two goals and seven assists from 19 Premier League outings.

After a dreadful start to the campaign which saw the East End outfit suffer defeat in their first four top-flight games, they have won five of their last seven to sit in 11th spot in the standings.

Snodgrass has played a full part under Manuel Pellegrini and the Scotland international winger wants to make the most of his stellar form to aid the club’s progress until the end of the season. “Football is up and down, but you’ve just got to be doing the best you can to take the chances when they come,” he told the West Ham website. “For me, the biggest thing is trying to get in the team and then try to kick on and contribute and show why the club bought me in the first place, which was to assist in goals. “I am doing that and working hard to continue to do that. That’s the biggest thing for me. It’s nothing about that first season or anything; it’s this season and I feel as if I have proven that with goals and assists. “That’s what you want to be doing, you want to be trying to help your forwards and I’m doing that right now. Long may it continue.”
