Solskjaer In line For Job – Depending On PSG Outcome

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly get the Man Utd job permanently – if his side sees off Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Solskjaer was named interim boss until the end of the season when he replaced Jose Mourinho in December and he’s taken to being in charge of the Red Devils like a duck to water – winning eight and drawing one of his first nine games in charge.

Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is believed to have held talks with Solskjaer at United’s Carrington training base last week and reports say he could be offered the manager’s role full-time should he guide United past PSG over two legs in the Champions League last 16.

Woodward has apparently been very impressed with the way the Norwegian has turned things around at Old Trafford and is confident the former striker can continue to enjoy success if installed permanently.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is also a candidate for the job but it appears Solskjaer remains the first choice should he maintain the flying start he has overseen so far.
