Tottenham To Spend Big On Betis Star

Tottenham are ready to break the bank to sign Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis as reports claim transfer talks are hotting up. Spurs splashed the cash to sign Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke last week, but the spending spree is not over yet with Lo Celso still high on Mauricio Pochettino’s wanted list before the transfer window closes.

Manchester United and Atletico Madrid have been heavily linked with a swoop for the player but it is Tottenham who are said to be in pole position with chairman Daniel Levy leading the charge.

Tottenham are ready to match Betis’ £60million valuation, while they are also willing to pay the Argentina playmaker as much as £150,000 a week over the next five years. It means the deal could be a total outlay of £100million for Spurs but they are willing to do it if it means getting the 23-year-old on board until 2024.
