Tottenham are reported to be weighing up a move for Manchester United’s Eric Bailly as the hunt for a new defender hots up.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has at least one new central defender on his wanted list as doubts surround the future of Toby Alderweireld and has already been linked with Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake.
Now it is claimed that United defender Bailly is also on his radar as doubts surround his own future at Old Trafford under the leadership of Jose Mourinho.

With the United boss also looking to strengthen in central defence, Bailly could be pushed even further down the pecking order and Tottenham could offer him a route out.
United paid £30million to Villarreal for the player in 2016 and would want to recoup as much of that as possible, but a swap deal could also be on the cards.
United’s interest in Alderweireld is well known and they could attempt to use Bailly as bait to land the Belgium international.
Spurs are not the only interested party though with Arsenal also said to be keen on Bailly.
