Borussia Monchengladbach captain Lars Stindl has returned to training following the ankle injury which has kept him out all summer.
Stindl took part in training for the first time this season on Monday and will continue to slowly work his way back to full fitness in the hope he will be back in contention for a first-team return by the end of the month.
Stindl said on the Borussia website: “I am happy to have taken the next step towards recovery.
Meanwhile, the club also confirmed Michael Lang, who has been out with a knee injury, and Patrick Herrmann, who has had an ankle problem, are expected to play a full part in training this week as they test their fitness ahead of the resumption of the Bundesliga following the international break when Schalke visit on Saturday.
