Watford striker Isaac Success is hoping he can kick on after scoring his first goal in nearly two years against Reading. The Hornets booked their place in the third round on Wednesday night thanks to a 2-0 win at the Madejski Stadium.
Success scored just his second goal in a Watford shirt and he hopes his performance was enough to impress boss Javi Gracia.
The 22-year-old is still behind Andre Gray and Troy Deeney in the striker’s pecking order but he admits he feels good after his display at Reading.
He told the Watford Observer: “It felt so great. My teammates all celebrated with me and they were so happy to get that first goal.
“That made me comfortable and relaxed and helped me through the game. I am happy to get my first 90 minutes and hopefully I can get more.
“I think physically I am better now, so I wasn’t tired after 90 minutes.”
