James Tomkins says Crystal Palace feel refreshed after the international break and are ready to kick-start their season at Everton.
The Eagles have had a fortnight to dwell on the back-to-back losses to Bournemouth and Wolves before the latest round of international matches, Tomkins admitting they were not at their best in both of those games.
The mission for the central defender and the rest of the Palace squad now is to return to winning ways and the ex-West Ham man believes Sunday’s trip to Everton provides the perfect opportunity to put the last two results behind them.
“I think we’re looking forward to it in the sense that it’s a chance to put things right after our last game against Wolves,” he told the Palace website.

“The international break, people sometimes say ‘has it come at a good time?’ But I think it’s nice to have that rest early on in the season and hopefully we can put things right on Sunday.”
“I think the Bournemouth game, a last minute penalty is not ideal and you lose a game like that, with a ‘was it or wasn’t it?’ [it can be hard].
It’s been a little bit of bad luck and a little bit of needing to do more against them and Wolves.”
