Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is a wanted man with both north London giants Tottenham and Arsenal said to be very keen. Spurs failed to add a single player to their squad over the summer but are expected to dip into the market when the window opens in January.
Meanwhile across north London, Gunners boss Unai Emery continues to look to build his squad after an impressive start to the season.
Reports claim Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is looking for defensive reinforcements and it’s understood Bailly, who has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford, is high on the Argentine’s list.
The report also states that Marcos Rojo is on Tottenham’s radar and they could move for the Albiceleste international if they fail to win the battle for defender Bailly who may be looking for a move in January in a bid to find first team football.
Tottenham could hold an advantage over Arsenal in negotiations, as Jose Mourinho may well try and use Bailly as a bait to land his top target in Toby Alderweireld.
