Manchester United have received a triple injury boost ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Everton at Old Trafford. The Red Devils trained ahead of the match on Saturday and Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Marouane Fellaini were all involved after overcoming injuries and could now feature against the Toffees.
Chile star Sanchez has been struggling with a groin problem since the international break and, after featuring as a late substitute against Chelsea last weekend, he was unable to play a part in the Red Devils Champions League defeat to Juventus during the week.
Boss Jose Mourinho had been pessimistic about Sanchez’ chances of featuring against Everton at his press conference on Friday, but he joined up with the rest of the squad for training on Saturday and could now come under consideration.
England international Lingard also trained and could return from his own groin problem on Sunday after missing United’s last five fixtures.
Versatile midfielder Fellaini is also back in contention after also being sidelined of late with a groin injury.
The Belgian, who will come up against his former club if he features against Everton, has missed the last two games with the injury.
