Manchester United officials are set to bring over Norway’s Under-15 captain Odin Thiago Holm for a trial in January. Old Trafford scouts were initially impressed when they saw the teenage midfielder notch five goals last summer during the Sambor Youth Cup in Poland.
The Red Devils have continued to keep an eye on the Ranheim academy prospect and want to take a closer look. United are keeping a respectful distance but are understood to be working with Holm’s club to agree a suitable time just after Christmas for the starlet to come over to Manchester and spend a couple of weeks with them.
Holm has no shortage of admirers and underlined his potential last month with an eye-catching display skippering Norway’s Under-15s against Sweden, with United scouts again present.
The Manchester giants, who have seriously ramped up their scouting network during the last 18 months, are confident they are at the front of the queue for Holm, should they decide to offer the talented Norwegian a deal in the near future.
