Middlesbrough are reportedly planning a loan offer for Huddersfield Town winger Rajiv van La Parra. Having missed out on the loan signing of Everton winger Yannick Bolasie to Aston Villa, Boro manager Tony Pulis remains eager to add some attacking threat to his squad and he is claimed to have earmarked Van La Parra as his prime target.
The former Netherlands Under-21 international didn’t feature in the Terriers’ first two Premier League matches although he did play the full 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw at home to Cardiff City last Saturday.
Head coach David Wagner is not keen on letting the 27-year-old leave on a temporary basis but if game time is to be limited for the winger this season, he may ask to leave on loan.
Boro are looking to take advantage of this situation and a loan offer is expected to be lodged as the club look to acquire Van La Parra’s services before Friday’s deadline.
The Dutchman would become the sixth new arrival at the Riverside Stadium this summer following the signings of Aden Flint, Paddy McNair, Andy Lonergan, Muhamed Besic and Jordan Hugill.
