Wales Down Italy To Equal wins Record

Wales made it back-to-back Six Nations wins and 11 straight Test triumphs with a hard-fought 26-15 victory over Italy in Rome.

Following last weekend’s success in Paris, the men in red have now equaled their best-ever run of results and will set a new mark if they can get past England in Cardiff on February 23 next time out.

Edwards Backs Wales For World Domination

Warren Gatland made 10 changes from the side that beat France and it paid dividends as they led 12-7 at the break thanks to four penalties from Dan Biggar as the Azzurri committed far too many infringements.

Braam Steyn scored the only try of the first period for the hosts and Tommaso Allan’s penalty early in the second half saw Italy close to within two points.

However, Josh Adams’ converted score on 55 minutes saw Wales put some daylight between the teams and Owen Watkin made sure of the points with 10 minutes to go.

Edoardo Padovani did score a late try for the home side but it was too little too late.
