Williams team principal Claire Williams says the team are “intensively evaluating” their options for the driver line-up for 2019. While it is expected that the Grove-based outfit will retain the services of Sergey Sirotkin for next year, despite the Russian having only scored one point this season, it is almost certain Lance Stroll will move on.
Stroll’s father led a consortium buy-out of Force India earlier in the year and the Canadian is expected to replace Esteban Ocon behind the wheel there for the 2019 season.

Ocon is one possible option for Williams as they consider a shake-up, with the Frenchman admitting he had spoken to the team recently, while GP2 championship leader George Russell is also understood to be under consideration.
Williams has now indicated they are likely to delay any decision until the end of next season as they look at all options.
“We are going through an intensive evaluation process, we want to make good decisions going into 2019,” Claire Williams told Sky F1. “We are not quite there yet.
“We have a number of drivers on our list but l don’t want to say who they are,” added Williams. “There are a lot of opportunities out there.”
