Wolves Baulk At Rondon Valuation

Wolves are believed to have pulled of the race to sign West Brom striker Salomon Rondon as a deal is proving to be too expensive. The Venezuela international enjoyed another season in the Premier League last term on loan at Newcastle United and the forward is expected to be on the move again this summer.

Rondon is unlikely to feature for the Baggies in the Championship and Wolves were being linked with a move for the 29-year-old former Zenit St Petersburg striker. Even with Wolves’ strong financial backing, reports have suggested the West Midlands side don’t now see a move for Rondon as value for money and, unless the situation changes at The Hawthorns, Wanderers will be directing their focus to other attacking targets in the market.
