Wolves Enter Tarkowski Race – Report

Wolves have reportedly made enquiries about the availability of Burnley defender James Tarkowski but may struggle to prise him away. The transfer rumour mill is well and truly turning and the talented Clarets stopper seems to be the centre of much attention.

Harry Maguire’s possible exit from Leicester City has seen the 26-year-old linked with the Foxes, while other clubs have also been mentioned. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have now been credited with an interest by a report in the Times, which also suggests Burnley boss Sean Dyche is desperate to keep hold of the man capped twice by England.

Inflated transfer fees mean that the Manchester-born ace will not come cheap and, while it is unlikely he will fetch the £90m being mooted for Maguire, the Turf Moor outfit would certainly enjoy a considerable profit on the £3m they paid Brentford for his signature in 2016.

Should Maguire be sold then Leicester will have plenty of cash to lure Tarkowski to the King Power but they might set their sights even higher, leaving other clubs, Wolves included, to pounce.
