Zaha Urges Palace Improvement

Wilfried Zaha feels Crystal Palace must not feel sorry for themselves but try to improve after the 4-3 loss to Liverpool. The Eagles gave the Premier League leaders a real run for their money at Anfield on Saturday but still emerged from Merseyside with nothing to show for their efforts.
A 1-0 half-time lead was soon wiped out after the break and Max Meyer’s strike deep into stoppage time just served to cut the deficit to one goal after Jurgen Klopp’s men had gone 4-2 up thanks to Sadio Mane’s 93rd-minute goal.
It was another case of what might have been for the south Londoners and leaves them 14th in the top-flight standings but only three points above the drop zone.
Zaha was pleased with parts of his side’s display but has urged his team-mates to pick themselves up and look to get things right next time out. “You can’t come to Anfield and score three goals but still lose,” he told Palace TV. “We need to tighten up because some of the goals we conceded are just not good enough, so it’s not a case of we performed well but were unlucky, we just need to be better, a lot better.”
