Ipaye: Give Keshi New Deal

–Ex int’l preaches continuity in Eagles

Former Nigeria international, Wasiu Ipaye has advised the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to offer Super Eagles coach Stephen Okechukwu Keshi a new contract to continue with the team.

The 1990 Africa Cup of Nations silver medal winner with the Super Eagles told SL10.ng that it’s of no use at this stage for Nigeria to change coach, insisting that what the country needs now is continuity.

”We don’t need to be changing coaches as if we are changing clothes. We don’t need that at this point,” Ipaye exclaimed.

”What we need now is continuity. The Big Boss isn’t doing badly. Why do we need a new coach? Ipaye who is First Bank of Lagos coach asked.

”If a new coach is brought in then that means we are starting afresh,”
First Bank FC are one of the promotion contenders in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Division B to secure one of the two Premier League tickets and Ipaye said he is focused on finishing the race strongly in order to bring Premier League football back to Lagos.

”I do rate my team, First Bank FC high, we are currently in the third position on the log and the focus and target to secure promotion is still very much intact. The dream to bring Premier League football to Lagos is still active,” Ipaye stated.

  • Wasiu Ipaye, you are talking trash… Hear yourself..””We don’t need to be changing coaches as if we are changing clothes. We don’t need that at this point,” So at what point do we need to change our torn chlothes. Do we continue to wear rags simply because we do want to change, or do we continue to tolorate a coach who has grown bigger than his size. Keshi is taking us for a ride and he has nothing more to offer. To give Keshi another contract is inviting disaster for our football.

Really, what disaster Mr Olu, like the one Siasia led our football into and Keshi came to rescue us? Or like the disaster the NFF has imposed on our football which Keshi has managed so well? Please tell us. 19 years your foreign coaches and the likes of Siasia could not win anything for the nation and here is a performing coach and you are hear just to see how well you can type your trash. I’m not against you and your likes insulting Keshi but give us the name of that messiah we don’t already know to coach the team.
