Coach Ben Iroha has joined the coaching staff of Heartland Football Club of Owerri for the remainder of the season, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
Iroha who was part of the Naze Millionaires' coaching crew in 2007-2010, alongside Kelechi Emeteole when the club reached the 2009 CAF Champions League, was recalled to help the club in the remaining five games of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.
Completesportsnigeria.com reports that Iroha who is currently based in United States of America, USA, was slated to begin his new reign as technical supervisor of the club last Thursday. But that was not to be, following a shift in the NPFL match day 34 games on account of the home -based Super Eagles CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso.
“Aside that, I had a few personal issues to sort out in Lagos which delayed my trip to Owerri,” Iroha, a former Super Eagles defender who won the 1994 Nations Cup in Tunisia, informed Completesportsnigeria.com.
Completesportsnigeria.com understands that Iroha could become the Technical Adviser of the club in the coming season, if everything goes well.
