The national U17 team, the Golden Eaglets, finish 4th in the recently concluded CAF U17 Youth Championship in Niger Republic.

The Nigerian cadet side coached by Emmanuel Amuneke qualified for the FIFA U17 World Cup to be held in Chile after reaching the semi-finals of the AYC.

The performance of the Eaglets who are the defending champions at the U17 levels has drawn criticisms from some sections of Nigerian fans.

Is the Golden Eaglets’ 4th position at the 2015 AYC a failure or a success that should be commended. What is your view about the dissatisfaction of Nigerian fans who expected better showings from the world U17 champions?

Do you feel this will spur the team to improve or would it demoralise them?

I think both the team and their Coaches are total failure and if possible the entire team apart from Nwakali should be dismissed immediately if Nigerian has any hope of doing well in the world cup because a team like this one has noting to offer any day not now not even in the next one year thanks

Nigeria football is corrupt,i was there in the camp my self,i was invited by the team but the way the coaches there are doing the selection is very bad,i went there without a manager that will stand for me so day send me out of camp becuz they do collect money from manager’s hand just to select a player that is ready to serve his father land.AM a right fullback player in one of the football club in ABUJA,i take football as profession.Am ready to serve nigeria my create country without money just give me the opportunity.am 16 year old this is my number +2348175868498

The comment from Joseph is untrue.I was regular at eaglets screening in Abuja.with the kind of mindset he has,it will be difficult to play football.
What we heard happened in Niger republic was that Caf was not consistent with the mri test. The test was not done for all the players like in moroccco in 2013.Nigeria did the right thing by following car’s circular to the letter and screened some key players that crossed their former eligible grade of 5 to ineligible grade of 6.The competition was purely not a fair one.The NFF should be praised for doing the right thing and amunike for making do with the new unexposed players he replaced the old ones with.
