Liverpool FC could have been dealt a crushing blow in their pursuit of Real Madrid star Isco, according to reports today.
The Spanish youngster has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, with Liveropool as well as Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly interested in his services.
According to reports today, however, the creative midfielder could be offered a bumper new deal to stay at the Bernebeu, having forced his way into Carlo Ancelotti’s team in recent weeks.
Isco has to compete with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in Real’s midfield and the 22-year-old is said to be ready to sign an extension to his current deal, which expires in 2018.
Isco has scored three goals and made four assists in 22 La Liga games for Madrid this season.
