Iwobi In Full Action As Poor Arsenal Lose At West Ham

Alex Iwobi made his 19th Premier League appearance for Arsenal who suffered a 1-0 loss away to West Ham on Saturday, reports Completesports.com.

It was West Ham’s 50th EPL game at the Olympic Stadium London and their sixth win in their last nine games in the EPL.
After a goalless first half, West Ham broke the deadlock through 19 year old Declan Rice who scored The Hammers’ opener two minutes into the second half.

Rice became the first teenager to score in the Premier League for West Ham since Junior Stanislas in November 2009.

The win takes West Ham up to eight in the EPL table.

Arsenal started the game stronger, with Alexandre Lacazette forcing a 13th-minute save out of Lukasz Fabianski with a low shot, after his driving run from Alex Iwobi’s pass had taken him beyond the penalty spot.

The Frenchman had another sight of goal moments later but could not keep his header down from a cross from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who would have had a shooting opportunity himself with a better pass from Matteo Guendouzi.

With minutes left to play the Gunners failed to break down a resolute West Ham defence.

Iwobi had a very good game. He was unlucky to be in the loosing side.

  • The guy had a very good game but don’t understand the Arsenal fans and some pundits they sha don’t like the guy. They criticised him for everything, not even Xhaca that made the mistake for the goal got the kind of critics as Iwobi. He deserves some respect after all he was the best Arsenal players on parade in that match.
