The 20-year-old Alex Iwobi is now an integral part of Arsene Wenger's side thanks to his brilliant performances in most of the games he has played in so far in this  current campaign.

And the month of September could be described as an impressive one for the youngster who was outstanding for the Gunners.

The brilliant run of impressive performances kicked off for Iwobi when Arsenal faced Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, 13 September.

Despite playing on the back foot for most part of the game, it was Iwobi's rebounded shot that led to Arsenal's equaliser scored by Alexis Sanchez.

In the English Premier League clash away to Hull City on Saturday, 17 September, Iwobi provided two assists as Arsenal won 4-1.

Against Chelsea in the London derby on Saturday, 24 September, Iwobi dished out one of his best displays in an Arsenal shirt which led to him being presented with the man-of-the-match award.

In Arsenal's September Player of the Month award, Iwobi finished third behind, Alexis Sanchez who emerged winner, and Theo Walcott who was second.

And in recognition for his wonderful performances for Arsenal, Iwobi was nominated for the 2016 Golden Boy award.

A previous winner of Complete Sports Player of the Month award, Kelechi Iheanacho has continued to show why he remains a key part of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side.

Iheanacho showed that he can hold his own when it comes to both club and country as he scored the only goal in Super Eagles 1-0 win against Tanzania in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday, 3 September.

One of the highlights of Iheanacho's performances in September was against Manchester United in the derby in the Premier League on Saturday, 10 September, where he scored City's second goal to help them to a 2-1 win at Old Trafford.

In the Champions League game against Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday, 14 September, Iheanacho who was brought on in the second half, scored as City ran out 4-0 winners.

And against Bournemouth which City won 4-0, Iheanacho scored and provided an assist in the game.

After being away from the Super Eagles for some time, Brown Ideye earned a recall by new coach Gernot Rohr thanks to his consistent performances for Olympiakos.

Ideye has been instrumental in his side's progress so far this season as they currently sits second in the league table.

The month of September will always be one to remember for Ideye as Olympiakos faced Veria in a league clash on Sunday, 11th.

Ideye grabbed a hat-trick and also provided an assist as Olympiakos triumphed 6-1.

In another league clash against Iraklis on Sunday, 18 September, Ideye scored the winning goal with 15 minutes left in Olympiakos' 2-1 away win.

He was also in action for Olympiakos in their last two games in September against Larissa and Apoel on Sunday, 25th and Thursday, 29th respectively.

Alex Iwobi should have it this time around, he is proving to be a worthy ambassador of Nigeria in the Arsenal setup after the legendary Nwankwo Kanu’s exploits. If he keeps his head down and keep working hard, he will develop to his full potentials as he still has a lot of years to do that.
