The UEFA Champions League round of 16 and the Europa League round of 32 will kick off this week with some Nigerian players expected to feature for their respective clubs, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
In the Champions League on Wednesday, Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi and Arsenal will be guests to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
This will be the 11th time both teams will cross paths in the Champions League with Bayern Munich winning five, losing three and drawing two.
It is also their fourth meeting in the round of 16 with Bayern coming tops in their three previous encounters (2005, 2013, 2014).
Iwobi, who is now a regular for Arsenal since breaking into the first team last season, made his Champions League debut against Bayern in 2015 which the Gunners lost 5-1 in the group stage.
In the Europa League on Thursday, nine Nigerian players should file out for their various clubs.
Premier League heavyweights, Tottenham Hotspur, will travel to Belgium to face Gent who parade Nigerians William Troost-Ekong, Moses Simon, Samuel Kalu and Anderson Esiti.
Spurs who are missing some key players will hope to bounce back from their 2-0 Premier League loss to Liverpool on Sunday when they play Gent.
In Greece, two Nigerian players will square off against each other when Brown Ideye's Olympiakos entertain Turkish side Osmanlispor with Aminu Umar.
Olympiakos will be banking on Ideye to get amongst the goals after he netted his 13th goal this campaign in Olympiakos' 2-0 home win against AE Larissa on Saturday.
In Israel, Nigerian duo John Ogu and Anthony Nwakaeme should be on duty for Hapoel Be'er Sheva who will take on Turkish giants Besiktas.
Ogu and Nwakaeme were instrumental during Be'er Sheva's group stage games and will be relied upon to help secure a place into the round of 16.
In the Netherlands, AZ Alkmaar with Nigerian forward AZ Alkmaar will host French Ligue 1 team Olympique Lyon.
