  • It was disappointing to see Iwobi subbed of in half time against West Ham however it appears that he will be a core member of the squad under coach Emery – something I am happy about.

    Iwobi ratings:

I sampled 3 ratings of Iwobi’s performance today and they were mixed.

Rating 1. the statesman.com: Alex Iwobi
Struggled to match last week’s heroics and was sacrificed for a tactical change at the interval.
Did good to assist Monreal for the opener.
    Rating: 6/10

    Rating 2. football.london.com: Alex Iwobi
Showed good energy and was direct when in possession. Looked one of the player’s most likely to make something happen, but was replaced by Lacazette at half-time. 6

    Rating 3. Paininthearsenal.com: ALEX IWOBI
    AML, Arsenal
Even more surprising to see him out there two times in a row, but again, he was pretty solid. He was a pleasant presence on the pitch. He didn’t have a lot to do, but what he did do, he did well with. Somehow got credit for the assist on the first goal, not sure how, but overall, another match he can be proud of.

If Paininthearsenal.com can rate him 7.3, it means he did well. Hope he gets better with every game.

  • I watched d match and was surprised seeing him being substituted cos he was not doing badly but guess it was do to tactical reason. Even Aubemayang that was move to his position did not even do anything meaning and was duly substituted as well. not surprised abt his rating too
