  • Can peseiro convince Tosin Adarabioyo to play for the SE one more time? Man was solid today you won’t believe he’s been out for that long, so Reed have been the reason Bassey been playing trash all this while? Bassey play like prime Maldini today beside Tosin to the extend you would assume they’ve been playing together all season.

Just imagine SE lining up like this…Aina/osayi,Tosin,Bassey/Ajayi, Bruno; Ndidi,Onyeka;V Boniface,Iwobi,Kelechi/Chukzy; V Osimhen in a 4231. Shaii African aren’t ready for this killer squad.

Tosin Adarabioyo is the best centreback of Nigerian descent alive… that guy is better that Fikayo Tomori even in my own opinion. I knew of his qualities about 3seasons ago when Fulham competed in the premier league under Scott Parker, then I watched all his games for a whole season… sadly, we have people running our football who only call players that grease their palms. Adarabioyo if convinced to play for Nigeria will make us less vulnerable at the back. Dude good die…

    • I tell u @jimmyball, yesterday was the first time I really pick interest to watch him and this simply bcos of our boys bassey n iwobi on the starting lineup, normally waiting concern me with epl matches apart the top 4-6 playing? I only watch epl matches that has Nigeria player playing for them, even I go first check starting lineup, if my boys know start, I know dey watch, but yesterday.

Lots of top teams played simultaneously yesterday, but I stick to Fulham vs NF that paraded 3 of our NT guys combined, and I wasn’t disappointed, I only switched to the villa vs city after the Fulham game, iwobi delivered and Bassey played real well all through, peseiro shd try Tosin again seriously.

    • So you have been saying before Boniface, Aribo,Bassey etc started playing for nigeria. What impact have they made to SE? Sha sit down there and be typing shits brandishing this and that players name rubbish.

We see a good performance by a foreign-based and fans howl for his inclusion in the SE. Next day they say he’s brought up on milk instead of eba, and not strong enough.

Tosin has one weak point in my opinion. Lack of pace. Ideally, you don’t want to have Tosin in a footrace with a striker! If that happens, wahala ma shele.
Tosin however is dominant in the air due to his height advantage, and his tackles are neat and tidy. In defending, he relies more on brain than brawn. Also has a decent passing range.
Bassey seemed to have a pep in his step yesterday, perhaps due to Tosin’s presence alongside him.
All we need from him now is to make up his mind. To be English or not to be?
If he’s available, Tosin will be a good addition to the squad.

Meanwhile, good to see Iwobinho scoring goals. At the double against Nottingham Forest. It would be nice to see more end product from him going forward.

@ femi, i hope pesero learn from that your formation, because that format is the key to our sucess in the nest two afcon and wcup 2026. A three man attack of iheanacho, osihmen and boniface with iwobi behind is a hard one to face by any opponent, all those fake wingers like chuks, lookman and simon can be coming in second half,
The attack reminds me of chelsea squad of 2008 championsleague final, with alneka, drogba and maluda in our attack and lampard was behind them.
However i will replace onyeka with nwakali, my reasons is because nwakali will be usefull in long passes, set piece and cornerkicks, he will had more creativity to the middle now that he is in form and plays regularly.
As for the defends line since we dont have adarabioyo, i will play balogun and bassey, saidi will play my left back, expecially when we are playing against the big boys, balogun and bassey have both played in rangers and they played the european league together, they are also our biggest diffenders by club ranking, fulham and rangers stands above siverspor, boavista, westbrom and paok, balogun also have the leadership carracter which ajayi lacks, ekong and bassey dont also have it, only omeruo have same quality but speed nor too dey, I think the future will not need tosin, if Benjamin Friedrich matured he will pare with bassey, and the likes of olise ndah, ogwuche, bassey and Friedrich are the future eagles deffenders, they may even be in 2026 wcup depends on amunike.

I kept my believe in bassey even when a lot of people were criticizing him for his poor performance. Some even said he is not good as a CD and should be moved to the left back.
Yes, I agree that he struggled in his first few games for both club and country in the central defence but undoubtedly he as the skill set to be a top defender. Hopefully, I see him and Benjamin Francis playing together at the next WC as our CD pairing.

  • Tosin Adarabioyo has a maturity that makes his defense partners always perform….
we all saw the impact he has on Bassey at the heart of the defense of Fulham….Tosin is elite and that’s final…..He might take time to adjust to Nigeria or even lack motivation initially but he belongs to the SE if we intend to go far in the future…..We need his in that our defense.
