Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus says the injuries he picked up earlier in his Blues career were down to his work ethic. Many observers have said the physical nature of the Premier League was to blame for the two injuries which twice kept out for around two months at a time.
Gabriel Jesus says that is not the case and it is down to the way he worked rather than being anyone’s fault. Jesus told Sky: “The defenders are strong and good, but both times I got injured, I was alone. “So that, I think, is more difficult. When you are injured alone it’s because maybe you don’t work hard. “I like English football. It’s good. It’s very strong and competitive.”
