Raul Jimenez is confident his Wolves team have what it takes to cause a major shock against Manchester United on Saturday. After winning promotion to the Premier League from the Championship, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have made a strong start, with last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Burnley moving them on to eight points after five games.
Jimenez scored the winner against the Clarets and now has his sights set on shocking the Red Devils.
The Mexican has previous experience of playing at Old Trafford for parent club Benfica in the Champions League but it has traditionally been a tough hunting ground for the team he joined on loan in the summer.
Wolves have not won at the stadium since 1980, a run that stretches back nine games and includes defeats in their last eight visits.
The 27-year-old is backing his side to end their hoodoo, adding that the belief within the camp could prove to be a key ingredient for Nuno’s men.
“We are thinking on that (getting a victory),” he is quoted as saying by the Express and Star. “No-one expects that, only us, and we have to make a great match mentally, fight physical with the ball.
“Now we have a lot of confidence, we are in a great moment, so I think it is possible (to earn a win) if we do what we were doing last match.
“Manchester United is a great club that all the world knows. We have to give our best if we want to take points from them.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
