Joel Obi is ready to prove to Coach Walter Mazzari that he deserves a place in the Inter Milan side ahead of the new Serie A season after regaining full fitness.
Obi, who spent last season on loan at Parma, is wanted by several Serie A teams with his Inter future in question but the player has played down such speculations. “I am ready to fight for my place in the team if things go well and I will be happy to stay,”
“I have resumed with my team and I’m not aware of any rumoured move. It’s important to be willing to play anywhere but I feel comfortable here,” he said.
Obi was one of the seven players dropped by Coach Stephen Keshi for the Mundial in Brazil due to his fitness.
He has played 39 games for the former Italian champions and has scored once since he was promoted to the senior side in 2010/11 season.
