Joel Obi Returns; Isaac, Simon, Ambrose in action; Dauda Debuts For Hearts

Joel Obi made a return For Torino in the Italian Serie A on Sunday after a long spell with injury. Obi featured for Torino in their 2-1 home defeat to Chievo Verona. He was replaced in the 57 minutes for Alexander Famerud.

Still in Italy, Nigerian youngster Umar Sadiq, was left on the bench for 90 minutes in Roma's 2-1 win against Sampdoria.

Alessandro Florenzi and Diego Perotti scored for Roma, while Sampdoria's goal was courtesy an own-goal by Miralem Pjanic.

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon was in action for Gent who lost 1-0 away to Club Brugge in the Belgian league on Sunday.

Simon was later substituted for Kenneth Saief in the 71st minute.

Also in Belgium, Joseph Akpala featured in Oostende's 1-0 away win against Lokeren.

Akpala came off for Bruno Godeau with five minutes left, while Saviour Godwin was an unused substitute.

In England, John Mikel Obi played for Chelsea in their 1-1 home draw with Manchester United. Mikel saw 90 minutes of action.

Jesse Lingard gave United the lead before Diego Costa grabbed a late  equalizer for Chelsea.

At the Vitality Stadium, Alex Iwobi was left on the bench as Arsenal bounced back from a four match drought, to beat Bournemouth 2-0.

In Spain, Granada lost 2-1 at home against Real Madrid with Success Isaac in action. 

While Isaac featured for 90 minutes, his Nigerian team-mate, Uche Agbo, was not in the squad.

Former Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama was in goal for Lille who played 1-1 at home with Rennes in Sunday's French Ligue 1 game.

Eagles defender Abdullahi Shehu was in Uniao da Madeira's team who lost 1-0 at home to Moreirense in Portugal. Shehu was on for 90 minutes for Uniao da Madeira.

Former kano Pillars midfielder Reuben Gabriel helped Boavista win 1-0 against Pacos dejFerreira.

While Gabriel played for 90 minutes, the duo of Michael Uchebo and Uche Nwafor, did not feature.

In the Scottish Cup , Celtic with Efe Ambrose on parade, beat East Kilbrise 2-0. Ambrose played for 90 minutes.

In another Cup game, Abiola Dauda made his debut for Hearts, as they were held 2-2 at home by Hibernian.

Dauda's Nigerian teammate, Juwon Oshaniwa, was introduced for Alim Oezturk on 50 minutes.

Former West Brom forward Brown Ideye made a 90 minutes appearance for Olympiakos against Paok Thessaloniki. Olympiakos won 1-0, with Ideye featuring for 90 minutes.

And in Turkey, Super Eagles defender Godfrey Oboabona was on duty for Rizespor, who could only manage a 1-1 home draw against Eskisehirspor.
