Joel Obi Sees Red, Ajagun Scores, Ighalo Misfires

Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, was in action for Watford for 90 minutes on Sunday but fired blanks as they lost 1-0 at home to Crystal Palace.

The game was Ighalo’s seventh of the season, and he has scored four goals so far.

A 71st minute penalty by former PSG midfielder, Yohan Cabaye, sealed the win for Crystal Palace.

In Serie A, Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, was an unused substitute in Lazio’s 2-1 away win against Hellas Verona. Onazi has featured just once in the league this season.

Filip Helander opened the scoring for Verona in the 33rd minute, but goals from Lucas Biglia (penalty, 63 minutes) and Marco Parolo (86th minute), secured the win for Lazio.

Still in Italy, Joel Obi was shown a straight red card in Torino’s 2-1 home win against Palermo.
Prior to his sending off, Obi replaced Daniele Baselli in the 68th minute of the encounter.

In Greece, former Flying Eagles skipper, Abduljeleel Ajagun, scored the only goal as Panathinaikos beat Platanias 1-0.
Ajagun later made way for Mehdi Abeid in the 58th minute.

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Dickson Etuhu, was on for 90 minutes for 10-man AIK in their 1-0 away loss to Hammerby. Evil Israelsson scored the only goal of the match.

And in Norway, former Flying Eagles star, Chukwuma Akabueze, featured for 90 minutes for Odd as they were held 1-1 by visiting Sarpsborg.

Sarpsborg’s only goal was scored by Nigerian player,Onyekachi Ugwuadu, in the 91st minute, after he came on for Kamer Qaka.
