Juventus Pip AC Milan In Top Serie A Clash, Extend Lead

Juventus defeated AC Milan 2-1 on Friday night in the Serie A's Week 28 biggest match.

Mehdi Benatia and Paul Dybala were on the score-sheet for the Old Lady while Carlos Bacca grabbed AC Milan's goal.

Morocco international, Benatia, scored for Juventus with a brilliant shot into the right side of the goal after being released inside the box by a superb lofted pass from Dani Alves with half an hour played.

Sami Khedira, Paulo Dybala and Marko Pjaca were the Juventus players who had threatened to score in the early stages of the game but Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma who heard the fans clapping his superb goalkeeping from the stands was equal to the tasks.

AC Milan have not tasted defeat in their last five games while Juventus have a rock-solid defence this season as they have conceded only 18 goals so far.

AC Milan scored a fantastic team goal to restore parity in the 43rd minute. Carlos Bacca was set free in the area by Gerard Deulofeu and he fired low past Gianluigi Buffon to make it 1-1.

Paulo Dybala stepped up to take a late penalty and brilliantly fired the ball into the top left corner to make it 2-1 and sparked angry scenes amongst AC Milan fans.

Colombia striker Carlos Bacca, substituted early in the second half, confronted the referee for the decision that went against his team and had to be stopped from possibly pushing the official.

With the result, Juventus consolidate their top position in the Serie A table with 70 points from 28 game, 11 points better than second placed Roma who have a game in hand. AC Milan are in the seventh position with 50 points from 28 matches.
