By Adeboye Amosu: The family of the late former Kano Pillars defender Chinedu Udoji got a donation of N3m from Kano State governor, Umar Ganduje, on Saturday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Udoji passed away on February 18 in a ghastly motor accident hours after Kano Pillars Nigeria Professional Football League clash against his former club Enyimba at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
The incident happened along club road in Kano after the centre-back visited his former Enyimba teammates at their hotel.
The four-time NPFL champions posted a picture of late Udoji’s wife, two sons and some family members with Governor Ganduje and some state officials on their Twitter handle with a message above it.
“The family of Late Chinedu Udoji received a donation of N3 million in cash from the Governor of Kano State,” Kano Pillars tweeted on Saturday.
Udoji spent spent years with Enyimba before joining Kano Pillars last season.
