–Warri Wolves, Nasarawa United, Enyimba jostle for second, third spots
Title holders,Kano Pillars are aiming to clinch a record third straight title with six rounds of games to be played.
With three home games and three away games to go, Pillars appear poised to make it a three title in a row. From the remaining fixtures, Pillars look like having four games at ‘home’ considering their week 36 game with El-Kanemi at Kano, the adopted home ground of the Warriors.
Pillars sit on top of the league table with 53 points from 32 games, with Warri Wolves second on 52 points from same number of matches.
Pillars have not lost any game at home and don’t look like doing so at this stage.winning all three regular home games and the ‘gift’ that El-Kanemi game will present, Pillars may likely end the season on 65 points as there is no likelihood they can earn points at Nasarawa United and Enyimba.

Warri Wolves get their first league are firmly hunting for their first league crown and could be all out to stage a still challenge for it.
Currently with 52 points and just one behind leaders, Pillars, Wolves will host Lobi Stars today before traveling to Heartland, Sharks and Nasarawa United.
Win in all three home games will give Wolves nine points which if added to their current 52 will equal 61 points.
But should they gain a win at Sharks of Port Harcourt, that will give them a total of 64 points to end the season as runners-up behind likely winners, Kano Pillars.

Nasarawa United are lying second on the log with 50 points going into today’s round of games.
They have one of the toughest games in the remaining part of the season with away games at Enyimba and Rangers. At home, they also welcome still oppositions in leaders, Kano Pillars, Sunshine Stars and Warri Wolves. However, possible wins over Kano Pillars, Sunshine Stars and Warri Wolves could give them nine points which if added to their current 50 points will amount to 59.
But they can still ride on the back of Giwa FC, their next-door neighbours to shoot up their hauls to 62 points at the end of the season.
Should this scenario play up, Nasarawa United, Enyimba and Warri Wolves will have to battle for the second and third positions in the race for the top three in the league.

Enyimba International have 48 points going into today’s games. Indeed, it’ll be one of their toughest fixtures in the remaining part of the season. A win today and possibly in the remaining two home games will give Enyimba 57 points and the six-time champions will hope to grab points at away games.
And that could possibly come in the week 36 game at Nembe who are but unofficially relegated. If that happens, the People’s Elephant would wrap up their campaign with 60 points.
Mathematically, the Elephants, two time African kings, are not expected to wrestle points at Dolphins. Enyimba also have the prospect of snatching points at Kaduna United but the battle against relegation can scuttle that.
