Former Nigeria international Nwankwo Kanu has showered encomiums on the players of the Super Eagles following their 2-0 win against Chad in Kaduna, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Kanu who captained the team during his playing days, described the win as a good beginning for the team in the qualifiers.
"Thanks for all your prayers and support. Nigeria 2-0 chad. Well done boys and congratulations to keshi and the team. Good start, so keep it up," Kanu wrote on Twitter.
Super Eagles will confront Tanzania on September 6, as they continue in a spirited strive to qualify for the 2017 AFCON.
