Kanu: Flying Eagles Will Reach Final

By James Agberebi:

Despite their 4-2 loss to Brazil in their opening game of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu has tipped the Flying Eagles to reach the tournament's final.

Kanu, who was a member of the Flying Eagles squad to the 1993 AYC in Mauritius, however advised football fans in Nigeria to keep praying for the team.
He wrote on his Twitter handle on Wednesday: "Flying Eagles of Nigeria will still reach the final of the U-20 World Cup, so let's keep praying and supporting them."

The Flying Eagles will hope to put their quest of winning the U-20 World Cup back on track when they take on North Korea, who also lost their opening game, on Thursday.

The other group game will see Brazil take on Group E leaders Hungary.

Meanwhile, the trio of Isaac Success, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ifeanyi Matthew may miss the game against North Korea with Akinjide Idowu, Bernard Bulbwa and Kingsley Sokari their likely replacements.

I equally share kanu’s sentiment on flying eagle but,the coaching crew should watch it not to spoil the good and hard work of prepartion prior to the commencement of this competition,i suggest the likes of Isaac, kelechi should be integrated into the team gradually not starting bert given them against Brasil, they are good and integral part of the team, butl have not been around for some time and in football cohesion and understanding is highly needed which was lacking among team in our first match via the trio,i mean kelechi,Isaac n yahaya, with latter tried a bit.Gud luck Flying Eagle.
