Nigerian striker, Henry Onyekuru hopes his impressive form in the Belgian League with KAS Eupen will help him gain international recognition soon, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Onyekuru has enjoyed a successful campaign with the modest club scoring 10 goals in the league so far.
The 19-year-old forward who honed his skills at the popular Aspire Academy in Qatar before linking up with Eupen, is determined to wear and white colour of his country despite the glut of strikers in the Super Eagles.
"It will be great to play for my country and I hope to get the chance to do that one day," Inyekuru told Completesportsnigeria.com in an exclusive chat from his base in Belgium on Wednesday.
"Nigeria is blessed with a lot of good strikers which is good for the country. To get into the team, one has to continue doing well at the club level.
"I have made a big statement with my performance this season, but I need to be consistent to continue being in the spotlight.
"I'm still young and it's important that I keep working hard to gain the attention of the coaches."
