Brighton midfielder Beram Kayal says the Premier League is “tough” but he’s delighted he’s got the chance to prove he can handle it.
The Israel international has had to be patient at times this season but has made three appearances in the top flight – coming off the bench against Manchester United and Tottenham before starting against Manchester City last time out.
Kayal admits there are big challenges week in, week out in the Premier League but he’s determined to show he has what it takes to compete.
He said on the club’s website: “Every child dreams of playing in these big matches. It’s a tough ask against hard teams with high quality, but then it’s about you. Are you going to fight against them?
“It’s hard against these teams, especially away from home, but hopefully I’ll get the opportunity now and play some games as well at home and then I can show more and more – I think I can still bring a lot to the team.”
The 30-year-old revealed there was speculation within the dressing room that he might be better looking for a move away in order to get regular action although he was always confident he would be given a chance.
He added: “The players were saying after the tough time I had that I would probably want to go somewhere else, playing week in and week out, but I believed my chance would come and everyone has seen that now.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
