2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup Most Valuable Player, Kelechi Nwakali, has revealed he signed a five year contract for English Premier League side, Arsenal.
According to mirror.co.uk, Nwakali disclosed that he has signed a five-year contract with the London-based team.
“I just came back from London, I have signed a five-year contract with Arsenal.
"So many teams were interested in me but it has been my dream at a tender age to play for Arsenal," Nwakali revealed.
The deal agreed between Arsenal and Diamond Football Academy for the highly-rated 17-year-old, reportedly, is believed to be £3million.
Following Nwakali's impressive performance at last year's U-17 World Cup in Chile, clubs like Manchester City and Bayern Munich showed interest in the box-to-box midfielder.
But Nwakali had always wanted to play for Arsenal. The youngster revealed he supported Arsenal as a child.
He has already had a tour of the Gunners’ facilities in London and has since flown back to Nigeria and will officially join them when he turns 18 in June.
