The 24-year-old, who took 43 wickets at an average of 23.30 in their County Championship promotion campaign, has committed until the end of the 2021 term.

Podmore told Kent’s official website: “It’s been a dream first season for me at Kent, I’ve felt at home right from the word go. “Everyone was very welcoming to me and I feel part of a special group here at The Spitfire Ground.

This is just the beginning and we can build upon Kent Cricket’s rich history with this talented group of players that are hungry for success.”

Crawley is a graduate of Kent’s academy and was a key figure last season, ending the campaign with 755 runs to his name.

The 20-year-old was their third-highest run-scorer in the four-day game and has penned an improved two-year deal.
Crawley said: “I’m still learning the game and there’s no other place I would rather play my cricket than in Kent, my home county – I am delighted to have signed a new contract.

“Now I just need to keep working hard and taking every opportunity that I can as I’m ambitious and want to take my game across all three formats. “I just need to keep working hard and take every opportunity that I can.”
