Keshi: Future is Bright For Eagles

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi believes that the future is bright for the senior national team despite losing 2-0 to France on Monday in the second round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup to crash out of the tournament in Brazil.

Speaking shortly after the match, the soccer tactician popularly called Big Boss said he was impressed with the performance of the players he took to the World Cup and also confident that they can be world champions in the nearest future if the tempo is sustained.

“We had a good game, I am impressed with the performance of the players and I can see that the future is bright for them if they can maintain the tempo”, says the Big Boss

Speaking on his future, the Super Eagles coach who won the last African Cup of Nations for Nigeria said he has more challenges to face while not thinking of continuing with the job.

“I won’t stay on as coach of the team again,” Keshi told his players after they crash out from the World Cup on Monday. “I have to go back to my family and face fresh challenges,” he added

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will return home on Thursday with their focus on the next African Cup of Nations while the Nigeria Football Federation would have to look for a new coach that will thinker the team to the AFCON.

I don’t think Keshi is telling us the truth about this boys, their attitude towards serving Nigeria shows no determination and commitments. They look tired and helpless at second half of all the matches including tech crew as we are watching. As young vibrants stars we expected them to run with those tired and old ages players of France and Argentina. Also they threaten not play without been paid money apart from bonuses, delicious food, conducive transport, first class accmodation etc. none of them experience those facilities from their families as they all came from poor background, every Nigerians knew, but mess up with financial issue at last. Money is not everything only sincerity of purpose can make someone achieve beyond his imaginations, let’s see how long will 20million will stay with them now that makes them to forget what the country has done to them. Only few will stay and make Nigeria proud.
