By Richard Jideaka, Abuja:
Stephen Keshi would be announced as the head coach of the Super Eagles in a matter of days, Complete Sports can report.
Indication to this effect emerged yesterday after the technical and development sub-committee of the Nigeria Football Federation met in Abuja to deliberate on Keshi re-engagement and other programmes of the federation.
Chairman of the committee, Felix Anyansi told the media after the meeting that they have recommended to the board of the NFF for approval or otherwise stressing that they have completed their assignment on the Super Eagles.
He said that there is nothing wrong in re engaging Keshi, adding that the Big Boss is qualified to lead the Super Eagles again.
“Keshi has done well and there is nothing wrong in recommending him to lead the Super Eagles again. We have done our own bit and it is now left for the federation’s executive committee to decide his being re-engaged,” says Anyansi.
“All issues concerning who would be the Super Eagles coach will soon be laid to rest and Nigerians will be happy with what we have done and recommended.
“We also discussed the qualifications of the U-17, U-20 and other national teams as well as the issue of Keshi’s contract. All these were discussed and we have made our recommendations for the board to decide” he stated
