Keshi Hails Ideye’s West Brom Move

–Faults Imoh Ezekiel Qatari switch

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has applauded Brown Ideye’s club-record move from Dynamo Kiev to West Bromwich on a three-year contract.

Keshi stated that provided Ideye was happy with the switch, he will succeed in the EPL.
“Ideye is a fighter and I’m sure he will succeed there if he’s happy,” says Keshi.

“It’s a good move for him and I am sure that he can show what he is capable of doing at West Bromwich,” Keshi told Complete Sports from Benin City.

Keshi further questioned Imoh Ezekiel’s move to Qatari outfit Al Arabi for a fee transfer in the region five million euros from Standard Liege.

“Why Qatar? He should have moved to a league in Europe where he will learn few tricks in the game before he moves there.

“He still has a lot of years ahead of him before joining the list of players in the Middle East but if he’s happy no problems”.

The former Togo and Mali boss however refused to reveal if he will be extending his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation or he will be assuming duties in South Africa.

“I don’t know about that, I just want to enjoy my holiday after a long and hectic period from May,”

“We will see how it goes”, he added.

He was also delighted that FIFA’s ban of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was been lifted after the country’s government reinstated the national governing body.

  • That’s gud

  • Ideye has always been a competitive player. He missed out of the recently concluded world cup in Brazil. He needs to justify the confidence the coach of West-bromwish has for him. He must deliver to justify his invitation into the national team. He should be given a second chance
