Keshi Not Considered For Cote d’Ivoire Job

–Super Eagles Boss Not On Five-Man Coaches Shortlist

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has not been included in a five-man shortlist for the vacant Cote d'Ivoire post, Ivorien media has reported.

The Cote d’Ivoire Football Federation announced on Tuesday coaches being considered to succeed Herve Renard, and the Nigeria boss was not one of them.

Keshi has been involved in a public spat with his employers, the Nigeria Football Federation, over allegations that he applied for the Ivorian job while still being employed by Nigeria.

He was said to be one of around 60 coaches who had shown interest in replacing Renard, who has joined French side Lille, and this led to an investigation and a disciplinary hearing.

The five men now being considered for the job are Paulo Duarte from Portugal, Polish Henryk Kasperczak and Frenchmen Patrice Neveu, Frédéric Antonetti and Michel Dussuyer.

They will be later trimmed to three candidates, before one of them is given the appointment.
