–For novelty match in support of President Jonathan
Super Eagles out-of-contract coach, Stephen keshi is top on the list of ex-internationals that will grace a novelty football match slated to hold in Asaba as part of efforts to muster support for President Goodluck Jonathan.
Also billed to grace the event are Austin jay Jay Okocha, Henry Nwosu and former Super Falcons goalkeeper, Ann Chiejine.
The novelty match is part of strategies of one of the support groups campaigning for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan, ahead next month’s 2015 general election, Gio15, a national support group for President Jonathan.
The novelty football match is between female members of PDP in Delta State and female members of Gio15 in Asaba, Delta State.
According to a statement signed by the Chairman (National Organizing Committee) Christian Ejike Obioko. The novelty match is one of the group’s to appreciate President Jonathan’s strides in sports and women development.
Women and youths of all works of life will play the novelty match to entertainment a crowd of registered voters for Gej re-election bid.
“It is only a mischievous person that will conclude that president Jonathan has not advance the cause of Nigerian women since he came on board, our women at the grassroot are smiling because he has been so kind to them. Women are holding sensitive positions all because President Jonathan is gender-friendly.
“There will be a raffle draw for participants who come to the venue with their voter’s card,” he said.
The match which will hold on 14th of January at the Squash Club located at Government House in Asaba, Delta State will have in attendance Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan who is the Chief guest, PDP National Chairman, National Women and Youth Leaders, Legislators, PDP governors, APGA Governor, serving ministers, Stephen Keshi, Henry Nwosu, Jay Jay Okocha, Ann Chiejine, top entertainers and Nollywood actor Francis Duru will be the compere at the occasion.
