Keshi Plans Big Against South Africa

Keshi Plans Big Against South Africa

Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi has disclosed that good organisation will be key in their next game against Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Cape Town.

The three time African Champions lost 3-2 to the Diables Rouges (The Devils) of Congo at the UJ Esuene Stadium Calabar, during their opening group match of the Morocco 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Keshi, who won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia, said that with the game plan intact, he is confident that the team will come out victorious in the match.

“We don’t have any problem with that since that is also applicable to South Africa and every other team in the qualifying series.”

“We just need to organise ourselves because we already have our game plans; we just need to be focused.”

Nigeria last played South Africa during the Mandela Challenge at the Nelson Mandela`s stadium were former Holland based Uche Nwofor scored a brace in the encounter.

Oga Keshi. Major work needs to be done on the Super Eagles both the tactics and the playing personnel. Nigeria Needs creative and attacking midfielders. Nigeria have many young players that can provide this creativity and passing

Nigeria was outplayed, out thought by a more creative and dynamic Congo. Tactically Congo was Miles ahead of the Super Eagles.

  • What can they say now, I mean all the Keshi United led by Kola US and one stupid Game 147 of the KON. They will now come and tell us now that Keshi is the best that can happen to Nigeria. We lost the game because Congo came here to pack the bus and in the process scored 3 good goals.. Right?

  • Empty barrel… You did not plan big when you played and lost at home …. You must win the next game else yourown don finish…..

I really cant understand what Stephen Keshi is up to. With all the love and support he got from all Nigerians, he kinda allowed pride to set into his mind. Now, he seems totally lost and without a game plan.
If you have materials that can deliver the goods, why on earth would you not use them. We all know there are better players out there that can do much better than what the present crop of players are doing. Yet, his ego wouldn’t let him. What a shame!
And see how we kinda lost our cool in the match, when we started loosing- telling signs of no discipline in the team.
All the same, Good radiance. I hope the players learn not to be too full of themselves again.

Keshi should please resign honourable before he is disgraced out!!! It shows he has nothing to move this team forward after the AFCON fluke/luck. Our last 8 games played, he won only 1(with the help of the referee vs Bosnia 0-1) drew 3 (scotland 2-2, greece 0-0,and Iran 0-0) and lost 4 ( USA 2-1, Argentina 3-2, France 2-0 and Congo 3-2). Its time for a CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was highly disappointed to say the least, this was a disjointed performance by the SE,it is either they under rated the Congolese or they were practically not fit……as for me……Even if we qualify to Morc 2015 nothing will please me,satisfy me and make me change my second thoughts on Keshi unless he beats Congo in Brazaville too….tit for tat.

kish is just a lucky man right from this time of playing, but i wonder why he forget that before u kill enemy u must protect urself first, dat is all round protection in army, if kish fail to work on his defends, he is going to suffer defeat against bafana bafana, we have no defends, but if we do, kish fails to arrange them well, kish look ur defends if not u are not going no where

Pls Kesh, dont end ur carrir as a looser, is is too shamsful dat congo defeated us, too shame, big shame

Please let us remember that the politics of NFF did not allow them give Mr. Keshi a proper contract; hence the boys were not fully prepared for the game.
The politics did not allow them to train for more than one week before the game.
So it is an organizational thing.

  • @Johny… Proper contract has nothing to do with the way and manner they played and lost. The fact remains that Keshi has absolute nothing to offer Technically. In terms of knowledge and technical know how, Keshi is a moron. The only thing Keshi is good at is playing politics and I can tell you Keshi is a hidden hand in the crisis going on in NFF. Keshi is being used by the Danagogo Minister of Sports and that is why the minister wants contract for Keshi at all cost and when it is the responsibility of NFF to do so if Keshi deserves one. The hand writing was on the wall that Maigari was not inclined to giving Keshi another contract based on Keshi past performance, hence the Minister quickly and illegally orchestrated Maigari impeachment to pave way for those who will be his yes men. Because Barrister Green and the two other members would have hindered his agenda, Green and co got suspended from NFF. The rest na story… I will not say more than that. we will know more as events begin to unfold. Its just a matter of time. I said it before in my ealier post. Keshi will complain that Congo packed the bus and yet Congo beat us 3-2. See Keshi’s reaction to the loss thru this link:
    What a stupid excuse..

  • so what is wrong if Nigeria lost the game. does dat make Keshi a bad coach or Congo a better playing football country than Nigeria. Albania defeated mighty Portugal with all their star players. football matches are meant to be lost and won and coaches learnt from their mistakes. you guys could as well tell me that Van Gaal is a bad coach cos of what Man U is going thru. if u guys re better than Keshi, why not take the job,

  • Buchi 7 years ago

@Ayo, well said… i wonder y ppl are fond of this each time we lose… we r all coaches from our rooms.. i’m sure most of us blaming Keshi now av never coached any team b4 nor played football professionally.. bt we find it very easy to blame a coach that has won the most prestigious cup in African Football b4… call it fluke.. na u sabi.. mention one Nigerian coach dat is better than him… dat coach shld also use fluke to win d same competition… Whr in d world does a coach work without a proper contract? we won’t see that… d result is a summary of what is happening in our football house… if the head is in crisis… i pray say d body go do well ooh..

Hello Fans, I am worried by the fitness level of our players at E J Esuene stadium. If the players have overcome it (fitness) then we are ready to fly above bafana bafana or otherwise. Moreover,Enyeama have to play this particular game.Defenders need to be alert throughout because the South Africans are fast in counter attack.I appeal to the fans in my own capacity as a fellow fan to give our team chance to prove themselves.

Who ever is saying Keshi is not good should go an ask Almighty Brazil what Bolivia did to them in qualifies like this.

The lose suffered by the SE last Saturday should not be hinged on the players and the coaching crew alone. Nigerians should know that while other nation were preparing the NFF was engross in detrimental politicking.
I thank God for fans who have not given up on the team and the coaching crew. Nigerian should learn to be good sports. Games are meant to be won or lost. Render your support by encouraging the team. Desist from running the team down because your confession might come true and when that happens, those of you with negative intentions should partake in the blame.
Keshi go on you can do it. Tighten the loose ends as you file out today against BB and give Nigerians something to be happy with. A lose today will mean Naija is out of the race. Nothing but victory will suffice. Check out the Lions of Cameroon putting smiles in the mouth of Cameroonians despite the disgraced outing in Brazil.
You can do it. Go for an outright win. God is on your side. You going to come out victorious.
